Sowing Seeds Health is looking for a caring and dependable person to join our Justice-Involved ECM team.You will help people who are leaving jail or prison get healthcare and other support. You will also help our billing team submit claims and keep records correct.
What You Will Do
- Call and speak with members.
- Help members enroll in ECM services.
- Help members make medical appointments.
- Connect members to housing, food, transportation, and other services.
- Work with jails, health plans, clinics, and community partners.
- Enter information into our computer system.
- Check that forms and records are complete.
- Help prepare and submit billing claims.
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims.
- Protect private member information.
- Complete other office and program tasks as needed.
What We Are Looking For
- You must have lived experience with the justice-involved community.
- You understand some of the challenges people face before and after release.
- You treat all people with respect.
- You can speak clearly on the phone.
- You can use email and basic computer programs.
- You can stay organized and follow instructions.
- You are willing to learn healthcare billing.
- You are dependable and able to work as part of a team.
Healthcare or billing experience is helpful, but it is not required. We will provide training.A past criminal record will not automatically prevent you from being hired. We value people who can use their experience to help others build a better future.
