Healthcare Accounts Receivable Representative
Location: Louisville, KY (On-site — 5 days/week)
Pay: $22.85/hour (W2)
Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week)
Type: Contract-to-hire (13 weeks initially)
Position Summary
We’re hiring a Healthcare Accounts Receivable Representative for an on-site support center role in Louisville, KY. This is a dual-focus AR + Billing position—ideal for someone comfortable working in state portals/websites and handling invoicing, payments, and discrepancy resolution. (Waystar experience is a big plus.)
What You’ll Do
- Process customer invoicing and related administrative duties
- Post and accurately record customer payments/checks
- Communicate with customers to resolve past-due balances
- Research and resolve invoice/payment discrepancies
- Use accounting systems and spreadsheets to track AR activity and documentation
- Support the accounting team with backup coverage and project-based tasks
- Answer phones in a friendly, professional manner as needed
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (accounting experience required)
- Prior experience in accounts receivable and billing
- Comfortable navigating state portals/web-based payment systems
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, especially Excel)
Preferred Qualifications
- Waystar experience
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
