Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have experience in teaching English to non-native speakers and will be committed to fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment. This role involves working with diverse student populations, including adults, and utilizing innovative teaching methods to enhance language acquisition.
Arrive to your scheduled class on time for Morning or Weekend Schedule (In-Person Teaching at the school location in Philly).
8:00AM - 11:30AM Monday to Thursday, 8:00AM - 12:00PM Friday (18 hours per week)
9:00AM - 6:30PM Saturday and Sunday (18 hours per week)
- Language teaching faculty who teaches General ESL (except for advanced ESL), TEST Prep, and Business English courses
- Bachelor’s degree as the baseline qualification or higher
- TESOL/TEFL Certificate
- Language teaching methodology
- The nature of language/languages
- The structure of English
- Second language acquisition
- Intercultural communication
- Practicum experience
- Minimum 1 year teaching experience in a postsecondary language program or institution
- Basic computer skills
- Strong presentation, communication and writing skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in the English language
- Successful execution of demonstration lesson
- Ability to use a variety of teaching tools to ensure maximum learning
- Language teaching faculty who teaches advanced ESL at level 5 and academic ESL at level 6;
- Master’s degree as the baseline qualification or higher in TESL/TEFL/TESOL
- If master’s degree is not in (T)ESL/(T)EFL, language teaching faculty in this category (ESL level 6) must have TESL/TEFL/TESOL certificate that includes instruction as follows;
- Language teaching methodology
- The nature of language/languages
- The structure of English
- Second language acquisition
- Intercultural communication
- Practicum experience
- Minimum 1 year teaching experience in a postsecondary language program or institution
