JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Conduct learning needs assessments
- Plan, develop, promote, implement, and evaluate orientation, educational programs, and mandatory competency requirements
- Develop and maintain education resources
- Assist leadership in developing educational programs to support individual learning plans
- Perform assessments of individual team members, as requested by leadership
- Maintain educational records for all employees
- Maintain immunization records for all employees
- Coordinate the Infection Control Program
- Educate employees about infection control
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (include, but not limited to) :
- Orientation of new team members
- Development and management of all mandatory education
- Development and maintenance of educational and immunization record system for all team members
- Support and ongoing education of all team members
- Participate in the development and review of best practice guidelines
- Participate in quality improvement activities and organizational accreditation processes
- Participate in relevant committees, councils, and other activities, as appropriate
- Foster an environment that supports the utilization of evidence-based practice and clinical research.
- Identify and monitor specified nosocomial infections
- Participates in performance improvement projects
- Makes rounds of hospital units to monitoring infection control practices
- Reviews, and evaluates Infection Control policies or practices
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- MSN, preferred
- Licensed RN, in the State of Ohio, required
- Certification in specialty or nursing education, preferred
- CPI certification, preferred
- Current BLS, required
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- 5 years of clinical experience, minimal
- Infection control experience, preferred
- 2 years of nursing education experience
- Nursing education experience, required
- BLS Instructor, preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
