Operations Excellence Coordinator
Location: Pico Rivera, CA
Pay Rate: $30.00–$32.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:45PM
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Operations Excellence Coordinator to support continuous improvement, process optimization, and operational efficiency across assembly operations. This position will conduct time studies, analyze production processes, establish and validate standard times, and identify opportunities to improve productivity and workflow.
The ideal candidate will have experience with lean manufacturing, process improvement, time studies, line balancing, and production reporting, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct time studies and process analysis across assembly lines.
- Establish, validate, and refine standard production times.
- Analyze production processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Identify and lead line-balancing initiatives to improve workflow, productivity, and labor utilization.
- Lead efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives within assembly operations.
- Support assembly projects focused on productivity, quality, cost reduction, and process optimization.
- Develop, build, and maintain operational reporting tools and performance dashboards.
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), production metrics, and efficiency results.
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and other departments to implement process improvements.
- Monitor the effectiveness of implemented improvements and make adjustments as needed.
- Document processes, standard work, time-study results, and improvement initiatives.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to management to improve operational performance.
- Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement programs.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in operations excellence, continuous improvement, industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related field.
- Experience conducting time studies and establishing standard times.
- Experience with assembly-line operations and line balancing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and production reporting tools.
- Ability to analyze data and translate findings into practical process improvements.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Manufacturing or assembly experience strongly preferred.
