Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Night Shift, 12-hour shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical/Surgical team on the night shift. The RN is responsible for providing professional, patient-centered nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN works collaboratively with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families to deliver safe, high-quality care.
During assigned shifts, the RN is accountable to the Unit Director/Manager. In their absence, the RN reports to the Clinical Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or Clinical Coordinator.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care utilizing the nursing process.
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Implement and evaluate nursing interventions and treatment plans.
- Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge needs.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
- Promote a safe, compassionate, and patient-focused environment.
- Follow all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Requirements:
Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum 2 years of RN experience
Experience in Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg) nursing
Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification
Experience with Epic EMR preferred/required
Pay: $55.00 - $58.00 per hour
