Trust & Estates Paralegal
Established mid-sized law firm in Santa Ana seeks full-time, experienced trust administration & estate administration paralegal. The successful candidate will have 5+ years of trust administration & estate administration law experience and must be well versed in general trust & estate accounts, conservatorships, as well as the entire administration process.
Responsibilities include administration of wills and trusts; preparing probate administration documents, conservatorship administration documents, estate administration documents, and accounts; Gathering, and inventorying, which includes identifying and valuing of assets; distribution, allocation, and funding of sub-trusts; Drafting of court documents (such as 850 petitions & 17200 petitions); Legal research; Communication with clients and attorney.
The position requires excellent organization, computer skills, and math. Must be detail-oriented, able to work directly with clients, a self-starter who is able to meet deadlines, and works well both independently and as part of a team.
Additional responsibilities for the successful candidate include preparation and review of accounts; review of estate tax returns, and review of federal and state fiduciary income tax returns.
College degree a plus – Paralegal certificate mandatory.
