We’re looking for an energetic, hands-on Assistant General Manager (AGM) who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and is passionate about leadership, guest service, and operational excellence.
Position Summary
The Assistant General Manager plays a key leadership role in daily operations, ensuring every department delivers top-tier guest experiences while maintaining operational consistency, safety, and profitability. The AGM directly supports the General Manager in leading the management team, overseeing staff performance, managing labor and costs, and upholding company culture and standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Oversee day-to-day operations across all departments including Food & Beverage, Attractions, Guest Services, and Events.
- Ensure all areas of the building are guest-ready, clean, safe, and fully operational each day.
- Assist with scheduling, labor control, and daily floor management to meet budget and service standards.
- Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) when the GM is offsite.
Team Management & Development
- Supervise department managers, leads, and hourly staff to ensure consistent performance and adherence to policies.
- Assist in recruiting, training, and developing employees to support a strong culture of teamwork and accountability.
- Coach and discipline staff as needed in alignment with company policy and leadership direction.
Guest Experience & Service
- Model and reinforce exceptional guest service at all times.
- Respond promptly to guest concerns or escalations, ensuring positive resolution.
- Engage with guests throughout the building to drive a welcoming, energetic atmosphere.
Administrative & Financial Support
- Assist with labor management, daily reports, deposits, and cash controls.
- Support GM with operational budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis.
- Monitor inventory levels, vendor orders, and compliance with company standards.
Safety & Compliance
- Maintain adherence to Monroe County and Indiana state health, labor, and alcohol regulations.
- Ensure employee safety protocols and facility standards are consistently followed.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of management experience in hospitality, entertainment, or restaurant operations (FEC experience preferred).
- Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate large, diverse teams.
- Strong understanding of labor management, cost control, and scheduling.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Must be 21+ with or able to obtain an Indiana Alcohol Server Permit.
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
