Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and vigilant Lead Security Officer to oversee the safety and security operations across our facilities. In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of security personnel, implement comprehensive security protocols, and ensure the protection of personnel, property, and assets. Your expertise in physical security measures, surveillance systems, law enforcement collaboration, and emergency response will be essential in maintaining a secure environment. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of security staff to ensure consistent enforcement of security policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular patrols using CCTV surveillance, access control systems, and physical patrols to monitor for suspicious activity or security breaches.
- Manage access control systems to regulate entry and exit points for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
- Respond swiftly to incidents by writing detailed incident reports, managing conflict de-escalation procedures, and executing emergency response protocols including fire safety, AED operation, CPR, Taser deployment, and first aid.
- Perform background checks on new hires or visitors as part of the screening process to maintain a secure environment.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations or incidents requiring legal intervention.
- Ensure compliance with all security regulations and company policies related to loss prevention, heavy lifting safety, manual handling, CCTV monitoring, and emergency procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience in physical security roles with a strong background in surveillance technology such as CCTV systems and access control systems.
- Military or law enforcement experience is highly desirable due to familiarity with security protocols and incident management.
- Valid certifications in first aid, CPR, AED operation, Taser use, fire arm handling, conflict management, and emergency response procedures are required.
- Demonstrated ability to perform background checks accurately and conduct thorough incident report writing.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle conflict de-escalation professionally while maintaining a calm demeanor under pressure.
- Physical fitness to perform patrolling duties including heavy lifting and manual handling tasks as needed.
- Knowledge of compliance standards related to physical security practices and loss prevention strategies.
