Our Fitness Center is a vibrant hub of health and wellness, and we're looking for a Front Desk Attendant to help ensure every member experience begins with a warm welcome and exceptional service.
The Front Desk Attendant will supervise and provide reception and administrative support with emphasis on the front entrance/front desk by transferring calls, directing members and guests to areas of the Club and handling special requests exceeding expectations of the membership; also responsible for enforcing the policies and procedures of the Club on a consistent basis, programming the Signera, editing and posting to website and setting up functions in the website and making reservations; coordinating blast emails and creating/communicating special events flyers. Responsibilities

Scheduling and staffing the coverage of the front desk reception area.

Greet all members and guests with a friendly, cheerful and helpful attitude and in an efficient manner

Provide excellent customer service

Accurately plan, schedule and record all reservations required for member events and dining; provide required reservation list for dinner, lunch and/or events and follow up accurately and in a timely manner to fulfill requests by confirming all reservations either by calling or emailing appropriate member and communicate reservation numbers, special requests and details to Food & Beverage team

Post and communicate all Club information regarding dining and special events in the various forms currently available; e.g. Website, Event Board, Media Board and Poster Boards – Maintaining member website as desired in the manner the Club has put in place, includes daily maintenance and updating such as dining reservations, updating website member directory, creating/sending email blasts, posting articles, menus hyperlinks, etc.

Maintain current presentations for lobby display which may include creating promotional flyers for Club events and posting them in appropriate areas

Knowledge of upcoming events and dining as to encourage members to participate in Club events and dining (cross-referencing when taking a reservation).

Support Member Services Coordinator as requested as well as other Departments; such as, Accounting during seasonal and billing deadlines (specifically inputting chits and executing billing statements)

Perform various administrative duties as needed

Maintain overall appearance of front desk and coat room in appropriate manner (uncluttered)

Distribute incoming mail

Operate office equipment, telephone system, etc. and order office supplies and maintain appropriate inventory as required

Contact repair service for any malfunctions of office machines

Responds promptly to member/guest needs, solicits member feedback to improve services, meet deadlines

Speaks clearly, listens and gets clarification, responds positively to questions, practices diplomacy when needed

Contributes to building a positive team spirit; puts success of team above own interests

Transfer calls according to standard operating procedures

Requirements:
- HS Diploma or GED
-
Experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified

Or any similar combination of education and experience
-
Demonstrated polished, professional appearance and presentation
-
Demonstrated organization and coordination skills and ability to meet deadlines and ability to multi-task in a sporadic, fast-paced environment

Ability to have flexibility in hours/days of work and be responsible for desk coverage during operating hours

Ability to enforce policies while maintaining a high professional demeanor

Ability to maintain quality and safety standards

Strong computer skills required to work with the following programs: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Website management and Jonas

Pay: $16.00 per hour
Physical Demands and Work Environment

Must be able to sit, stand, walk, squat, kneel, reach, bend, stoop, twist, climb, walk on rough ground and lift up to 10 pounds
