We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Mechanic Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support our mechanics in the maintenance and repair of our company trucks.
Duties
- Grease, Lubricate Trucks and Other Internal Combustion Equipment
- Perform Safety Inspection on Trucks & Equipment
- Perform Routine Repairs for Supervisor
- Change & Repair Tires, Light Bulbs, Fan Belts, and other Simple Mechanical Parts
- Assist Lead Mechanic in Performing Any Repairs
- Pick Up & Deliver Parts, Supplies and Vehicles
- Repair Minor Truck Damages
- Repair Various Grounds Equipment such as Mowers, Tractors & Etc
- Clean Garage & Dump Trash
- Perform a Variety of Operations & Maintenance Duties which Involve Working with Combustibles
- Ability to Perform Related Duties When Assigned
Experience
- Two years of experience
- Skills to Operate Trucks in a Safe Manner
- Communicate Effectively
- Evaluate Schedules
- Meet Deadlines
- Plan & Organize Efficiently
- Knowledge of Vehicle Operation
- Basic Maintenance Requirements & Driving Codes
- Understanding of Hard Labor Work
- Ability to Carry Out Oral & Written Instructions

- Make Common Sense Decisions in Critical Situations
- Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.
