About the Opportunity
We are seeking dedicated and reliable Instructional Assistants/Support Staff to join our team for a high-impact, three-week summer literacy enrichment program. You will play a vital role in creating a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment for elementary-aged students. What You’ll Do
- Student Support: Assist with student supervision, classroom transitions, and dismissal procedures.
- Instructional Aid: Support small-group activities, reading circles, and instructional assessments under the guidance of lead teachers.
- Operational Support: Assist with daily tasks including attendance tracking, snack preparation, and maintaining a positive classroom environment.
- Flexibility: Be prepared to assist in different classroom settings or travel between two nearby school sites (approx. 10 minutes apart) as operational needs arise.
- Safety & Professionalism: Ensure all school safety and program protocols are followed consistently.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience: Previous experience working with children and families in a school or youth-centered environment.
- Reliability: A high level of professionalism and consistent punctuality is required.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and structured environment.
- Logistics: Reliable transportation during program hours.
- Compliance: Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and complete all mandatory Maryland school-based employment requirements, including fingerprinting.
Requirements
- Must be able to work the full program duration: July 6–22, 2026 (Monday–Thursday).
- Must pass a required background check and fingerprinting process (details provided upon selection).
- Must be comfortable working with elementary-aged students (Grades K–5).
