Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a dump truck, at times pulling trailer
- Haul concrete, asphalt, etc to dump site. Haul gravel, rock, sand, etc. to job site.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving and operating equipmentquipment
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or delays
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise
- *$21-$27/hr includes all trucking duties - when not driving dump truck: Perform concrete labor/finisher duties. Set forms, clean up job site, use come-along, pour concrete, finish concrete.
Requirements:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements for the specific type of truck being operated
- Proven experience driving various types of trucks, including those with manual transmissions
- Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance to perform basic troubleshooting on vehicles when necessary
- Ability to safely operate heavy equipment, such as forklifts or other machinery used for loading and unloading freight
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate recordkeeping and adherence to delivery schedules
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with dispatchers, customers, and team members
