PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Salary to be commensurate with experience
The hiring range for this position is $101,268.00 - $126,585.00/annually

OVERVIEW OF POSITION / DEPARTMENT
Performs technical, analytical, and statistical work to implement utility rate structures and fees with minimal supervision for the city Water and Wastewater utilities. Includes preparation of rate studies, forecasts and technical costs-of-service studies and long-range revenue and expenditure forecasts.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & WORKING CONDITIONS
An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, engineering, economics or other directly related field.
Licenses and Certifications Required:
This position may require the incumbent to occasionally use personal equipment (e.g. vehicle, cell phone, tools, etc.) in the course of their employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Expert level knowledge of Excel, including experience with macros, proficient in financial modeling as it relates to rates, fee setting and long-term financial forecasts, analyzing trends and determining rate impacts.
When a local announcement of emergency or disaster is declared by the city, all City of Aurora employees may be required to work as essential personnel.
occasional lifting, carrying, walking, and standing; vision for reading, interpreting, and preparing reports and data analysis; hand/eye coordination for operation of computer.
The city of Aurora will implement furlough days (unpaid days off) for most employees in 2026. The scheduled furlough dates are January 16, April 10, July 2, and December 24.
