Reports To: Production Supervisor
Conformance Fasteners operates state of the art optical, laser and eddy current sorting machines manufactured by General Inspection, Attica Automation and Retina Systems. The material handler conducts and supports all required activities to ensure the production department operates efficiently and effectively. Interacts with all levels of the plant’s team members, so a positive, results driven personality is required. Strong problem-solving skills to find the root cause of problems that occur during the sorting process are essential.
Essential Job Functions
- Perform various tasks supporting change over, shut down and assigned preventative maintenance per the startup and shut down procedures.
- Operate fork trucks safely and efficiently in accordance with the company safety policy.
- Perform manual tasks such as loading and supplying production line items, loading conveyors, and tub dumps.
- Perform all product labeling functions per labeling procedures.
- Provide general plant, area, production line and facility cleanliness and organization (5S) daily. Conduct 5S audits as required.
- Provide accurate and complete information for all paperwork in a timely fashion.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
Requirements
- Preferred 1-2 years experience in a manufacturing environment, including quality, sorting, inspection, containment, and production.
- Ability to be trained to use various inspection software and measuring equipment as required.
- Ability to be trained in and support Root Cause problem solving activities.
- Intermediate math, reading and comprehension skills.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Valid driver’s license.
- An established history of being dependable and reliable.
- Self-motivation, enthusiasm, drive, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Physical Requirements
- Stand and/or walk for duration of shift, up to 8 hours.
- Lift up to 30 pounds on a repetitive basis for duration of shift.
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
