Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Pro Collision Estimator to join our automotive repair team. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for customers seeking collision repairs, providing expert estimates and guiding them through the repair process. Your expertise will ensure accurate assessment of vehicle damage, efficient communication with technicians, and exceptional customer service. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to assess extent of collision-related repairs
- Prepare detailed and accurate auto estimates using industry-standard estimating software.
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding repair needs, costs, and timelines
- Collaborate with technicians and management to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion
- Upsell additional services such as vehicle maintenance, tire service, alignments, or mechanical repairs when appropriate
- Manage service writing tasks, including documenting repair procedures and parts ordering
- Handle customer inquiries professionally, providing exceptional service throughout the repair process
Qualifications
- Proven dealership or auto body shop experience as a collision estimator or service advisor
- Strong automotive diagnostics knowledge across various systems including transmissions, suspensions, brakes, and diesel engines
- Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience as a mechanic or service technician preferred
- Familiarity with auto estimating software and automotive repair procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities
- Knowledge of automotive repairs such as oil changes, alignments, shocks & struts, air brakes, and tire services
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Automotive sales experience is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for helping customers is essential
