Overview
We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic I to join our manufacturing operations team. This role is essential in ensuring the continuous, safe, and efficient operation of industrial equipment and machinery within our facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in industrial maintenance, troubleshooting, and mechanical systems, with the ability to perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks. Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment using precision measuring instruments and schematics.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and HVAC systems to identify root causes of malfunctions.
- Repair or replace faulty components such as motors, belts, valves, sensors, and wiring following electrical blueprints and engineering troubleshooting procedures.
- Operate field service tools including ammeters, ohmmeters, low voltage testers, and scissor lifts safely to access equipment at various heights.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Assist with welding tasks, including welding techniques, ensuring safety standards are met during fabrication or repair.
- Support industrial electrician tasks involving electrical diagnostics and high voltage systems while adhering to safety protocols.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and electrical blueprints to execute repairs efficiently.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on troubleshooting efforts and process improvements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety regulations related to industrial maintenance.
Experience
- 5 years industrial maintenance experience
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot for preventative maintenance
- Experience operating standard power tools, grinders, hoists, hand tools and precision measuring instruments/tools
- Solid understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, cranes and power transmission components (belts, pulleys, chains).
- Electric experience
- Experience with CNC machine is a PLUS not required.
