Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Certified Medical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake procedures including collecting medical histories, vital signs, and documenting symptoms accurately in electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) and/or paper charting.
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures by preparing the necessary equipment and ensuring patient comfort.
- Conduct phlebotomy and medication administration tasks following established protocols to support diagnostic testing and treatment plans.
- Manage medical documentation with precision, medical records organization, and ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
- Support medical office operations by scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and providing excellent patient service to foster a welcoming environment.
- Assist with laboratory procedures such as specimen collection and processing while maintaining proper labeling and handling protocols.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy knowledge, and emergency procedures including basic life support (BLS).
- Collaborate with hospital teams for inpatient experience or trauma center environments when necessary to ensure seamless patient care transitions.
- Utilize EMR/EHR systems efficiently for documentation updates, medication reconciliation, and tracking patient progress.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant credential from an accredited program; certification must be current.
- Proven experience in medical office settings with familiarity in dermatology, urgent care, hospital medicine or related specialties.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical-surgical practices.
- Ability to perform phlebotomy and medication administration accurately following safety protocols.
- Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient populations including geriatrics.
- Knowledge of emergency medicine procedures and basic life support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in fast-paced environments such as urgent care or emergency settings.

Pay: $19.75 - $21.50 per hour
