American Traveler is seeking a CVOR RN with 3+ years OR experience, including 2 years dedicated cardiac and vascular experience, for a scrub-only role at a Level I Trauma facility.

Work in the CVOR unit of a Level I Trauma teaching hospital
-
Scrub role only
-
40 hours per week schedule consisting of two 8-hour shifts and two 12-hour shifts
-
Performs procedures across cardiovascular, thoracic, vascular, and transplant surgery specialties
-
Utilizes Epic for charting
-
Works in CVOR, General OR, and Hybrid OR settings
-
Uses electrosurgical units and fiber optic light sources/cords
-
Active RN license (Ohio or Compact) required in hand at time of submission
-
BLS and NIHSS certifications required; ACLS preferred
-
3 years of overall OR experience required, including 2 years dedicated cardiac and vascular experience
-
1 year of CVOR experience required
-
1 year of experience in a Level I Trauma facility required
-
Heart and lung transplant experience required
-
Epic charting experience required
-
Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
-
2 professional references required, with at least one from a Manager/Director or formal leadership role; Charge RN acceptable for second reference; coworker references not accepted

Provide scrub support for complex cardiovascular, thoracic, vascular, and transplant surgical procedures
-
Skilled in procedures including CABG, TAVR, LVAD/RVAD, TEVAR, EVAR, carotid endarterectomy, and VATS
-
Experience with robotics such as Da Vinci Xi and Da Vinci SP surgical systems preferred
-
Familiarity with cardiothoracic robotic surgery preferred
-
Knowledge of infection control, universal protocol, and emergency management procedures including code response and malignant hyperthermia protocols

Local candidates accepted at the same rate

RTO requests must be submitted with application and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less

Former employees eligible for travel assignment consideration after being away from the facility for 6 months or more

Current employees of Ohio State University hospital locations are ineligible for travel assignments

Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting requirements promptly after signing contract due to strict compliance timelines
