Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join the team at Community Springs Healthcare Facility in El Dorado Springs, MO — someone who leads with skill, compassion, and a drive to positively impact every patient and family we serve.
Position Details
- Status: Full-time
- Work Shift: Days
- Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm
What Your Day Looks Like: Assisting residents by assessing, implementing, and evaluating therapy treatments utilizing appropriate equipment, supplies, and procedures.
As a COTA, you will be:
- Following plans-of-care established by therapists
- Guiding residents through therapy treatments including stretching, joint movement, strength-building routines, using walkers or canes, and standing safely to prevent falls
- Teaching nursing aides and family members safe handling techniques and transfer methods
- Analyzing patients' needs and progress throughout treatment and reporting observations to therapists and other care team members
- Documenting relevant and appropriate information for care planning
Qualifications
- Education: Completion of an approved Occupational Therapist Assistant Program or other certification program recognized by the State Board of Healing Arts
- Experience: New grads welcome! 1 year of experience preferred
- Skills: Customer service, time-management, problem-solving, communication
- Licensure/Certification: Certification by the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board
- Physical: Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods; lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs. with patient and/or equipment assistance; carry up to 35 lbs.
