Fleet Maintenance Mechanic
Location: Streamwood, IL
Park Central is seeking a dependable, hard-working Fleet Maintenance Mechanic to join our growing maintenance team. If you have experience working on heavy-duty trucks and trailers and enjoy hands-on work in a professional shop environment, we'd love to hear from you.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance (PM services)
- Oil and filter changes
- Replace brake shoes, drums, pads, and rotors
- Mount, repair, and replace truck and trailer tires
- Grease chassis and perform safety inspections
- Replace lights, mud flaps, air chambers, and other common components
- Perform minor mechanical repairs and troubleshoot maintenance issues
- Keep accurate service records
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications
- Experience working on semi tractors and trailers (Volvo and Freightliners)
- Knowledge of air brake systems
- Basic mechanic tools required (specialty shop tools provided)
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- CDL is a plus, but not required
