General Summary
Under the direction of the Development Director, the Events Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing fundraising and community engagement activities within a six‑county system that advances the mission of Catholic Charities. This position develops meaningful experiences that strengthen relationships with donors, volunteers, community partners, parish leaders, and the public while enhancing awareness and support of the organization’s programs and services.
Working collaboratively across all six counties, the Events Coordinator manages all aspects of event planning—from concept development through post-event evaluation to ensure successful, mission-driven events that foster community engagement and support organizational goals.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute fundraising events, community outreach activities, agency celebrations, and special events.
- Develop event timelines, budgets, and project plans to ensure successful implementation.
- Coordinate venues, vendors, marketing, catering, entertainment, audiovisual needs, signage, and event logistics.
- Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers for events.
- Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team, Development Director, Social Media Coordinator, and Site Location Leadership to ensure events align with organizational objectives.
- Cultivate relationships with sponsors, community partners, parishes, businesses, and volunteers.
- Assist with sponsorship solicitation and donor stewardship related to events.
- Coordinate event marketing in partnership with the department team, including invitations, promotional materials, social media, and event communications.
- Monitor event budgets and expenses while identifying opportunities for cost savings and sponsorship support.
- Track attendance, fundraising outcomes, and participant feedback, preparing post-event evaluations and recommendations for future improvements.
- Represent Catholic Charities professionally at community meetings and events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) - five (5) years of experience coordinating fundraising, nonprofit, corporate, or community events.
- Demonstrated success managing multiple projects and events simultaneously.
- Strong organizational, written, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Experience working with volunteers, sponsors, and community partners.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event registration or donor management software.
· Ability to travel across six counties and work occasional evenings/weekends (required)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements
- Able to stand, walk, bend, and twist for extended periods and lift or move materials weighing up to 30 pounds.
Pay: $40,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
