Career Opportunity: Metal Fabricator
We are seeking a talented metal fabricator to assist our team with providing top-of- the-line products for our customers. As a metal fabricator, you will be responsible for reading and interpreting drawings and sketches, following cut lists, and assembling various items according to plans.
Metal Fabricator Responsibilities:
- Reading and interpreting drawings, sketches, and prints.
- Measuring and layout out of cut and bend lines.
- Setting up machinery including saws, presses, brakes, and shears.
- Double-checking design specifications before commencing with cutting work.
- Fabricating metal components and assemblies.
- Performing quality checks on completed products.
- Conforming with state and company safety regulations.
- Maintaining deadlines.
Metal Fabricator Requirements:
- Previous work experience as a metal fabricator, fitter, or welder is a plus
- Maintaining a positive attitude, open minded, and willing to learn.
- Knowledge of design and manufacturing procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, prints, and sketches.
- Knowledge of metal fabrication tools including shears, rollers, flame cutters, and presses.
- Basic Math and Geometry skills.
- Ability to lift and manipulate large heavy objects.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Willingness to work as a team or individually depending on the project.
