We are seeking a dynamic, driven, and hands-on Proximity Marketing Director to lead and scale our face-to-face lead generation strategy. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves building high-performance teams, and isn’t afraid to get out in the field — knocking doors, attending events, and turning interactions into appointments.
The Proximity Marketing Director will be responsible for developing and executing a hyper-local marketing strategy designed to drive qualified appointments through direct outreach. You'll recruit, train, and manage a growing team of field marketers while also serving as a player-coach by leading from the front.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build & Lead the Team:
- Recruit, onboard, and manage a team of proximity marketers.
- Develop training programs and performance standards.
- Foster a competitive, energetic, and goal-oriented culture.
- Field Marketing Execution:
- Actively participate in door-to-door marketing efforts to set appointments.
- Represent the company at local events, trade shows, and community activations.
- Model effective in-person lead generation techniques for the team.
- Appointment Generation & Metrics:
- Develop and track KPIs around appointments set, show rates, and close rates.
- Collaborate with sales leadership to align on quality and volume expectations.
- Continuously optimize pitch strategy and lead qualification criteria.
- Strategy & Expansion:
- Identify new neighborhoods, markets, or events to expand outreach.
- Analyze data and feedback to improve team performance and marketing ROI.
- Collaborate with the marketing team on branding, messaging, and campaign support.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in door-to-door sales, event marketing, or field sales.
- Prior experience in building and managing a team is strongly preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and motivational skills.
- Willingness to work evenings/weekends as needed for outreach efforts.
- Comfortable with setting and achieving aggressive goals.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
