Position Overview:
Emerald Luxury Coaches is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Bay Technician to support the design, installation, and organization of all electrical systems within custom-built motor coach living quarters. This role focuses on the electrical bay—the central hub where all wiring, power distribution, and control systems are routed and managed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, route, and install wiring systems for custom motor coach conversions, including 12V, 24V, and 120/240V systems
- Build and maintain clean, organized electrical bays with properly labeled and secured wiring
- Install and connect electrical components such as inverters, converters, breakers, relays, and battery systems
- Interpret and work from electrical schematics, diagrams, and build plans
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform diagnostics on completed systems
- Ensure all wiring meets safety standards, quality expectations, and company guidelines
- Collaborate with fabrication, plumbing, and interior teams to integrate systems seamlessly
- Maintain accurate documentation of wiring layouts and system configurations
- Perform quality control checks and testing before final delivery
Qualifications:
- Experience with electrical systems (RV, automotive, marine, or similar preferred)
- Strong understanding of DC and AC electrical systems
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics
- Strong attention to detail and pride in clean, organized work
- Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or on a team
- Basic hand and power tool proficiency
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with custom coach, RV, or van conversions
- Knowledge of solar systems, lithium battery setups, and energy management systems
- Familiarity with multiplex wiring or smart control systems
Work Environment:
- Hands-on work in a shop setting
- May require working in tight spaces within motor coach bays
- Fast-paced, custom fabrication environment with a focus on high-end quality
