Director of Dining Services
Full-Time | Assisted Living Community
We are seeking an experienced Director of Dining Services to lead the dining program at an Assisted Living community. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing daily dining operations including culinary production, menu development, ordering, food safety, and team leadership while creating a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience for residents.
The ideal candidate is an operational leader who is comfortable managing kitchen operations while also building relationships within the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily dining operations including meal production, service, kitchen management, and sanitation.
- Lead, train, and develop the dining services team while maintaining accountability and performance standards.
- Manage menu planning, food production, and recipe execution.
- Oversee food ordering, inventory management, and vendor relationships.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards.
- Manage food and labor costs while maintaining quality and consistency.
- Build positive relationships with residents and ensure the dining program meets their needs and preferences.
- Partner with the Activities team to support special events, celebrations, and community programming.
- Coordinate catering and special meals for resident events and gatherings.
- Maintain organized kitchen operations including scheduling, purchasing, and inventory controls.
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of food service leadership experience
- Culinary or Chef Manager experience preferred
- Experience in healthcare, senior living, or high-volume food service environments preferred
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Experience with ordering, inventory management, and menu planning
- Strong leadership and communication skills

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
