Production Assembler / Cabinet Builder – 1st Shift
Metal Arc is hiring full-time Production Assemblers and Cabinet Builders for our 1st shift manufacturing team in Muskegon, MI. Competitive pay, steady daytime hours, benefits, and overtime opportunities are available.
Metal Arc manufactures high-quality steel office and laboratory furniture for customers across the country. We are looking for dependable, mechanically-inclined individuals who enjoy hands-on work and take pride in building quality products.
This position involves assembling steel cabinets and furniture components using in a clean, organized, and well-lit manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Assemble steel cabinets such as lateral files, bookcases, storage cabinets, and towers
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
- Install screws, hinges, hardware, and fasteners
- Read and follow assembly instructions and production paperwork
- Move materials and completed products throughout the work area
- Maintain quality standards and production goals
- Keep workstations clean and organized
Qualifications
- Manufacturing, assembly, cabinet building, or construction experience preferred
- Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated candidates with a positive attitude and strong mechanical ability.
