The Lockheed Martin Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) team is seeking an experienced System Engineer to be part of a team developing missile defense technology that could forever change our ability to deter and respond to adversity.
As a
Systems Engineer on NGI, you should have a complete understanding of at least one of the key system subject areas with the opportunity to work in all fields to include systems definition, decomposition, allocation, traceability, maintenance, verification/validation, system integration, analysis, and test.
Some of the roles and responsibilities you will leverage your expertise and talent to accomplish include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Support major program reviews, including SRR, PDR, and CDR
- Participate in specification and interface development/documentation, and support the development of verification plans
- You may also have the opportunity to participate in system-level analyses in support of mission planning/execution and tests at various test ranges.
Some travel will be required ~10%
Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
