Requirements:
- Master’s degree in a clinical and/or treatment field of psychology and documented training in assessment techniques and behavior support development, and at least five (5) years’ experience working directly with IDD individuals. (BCBA certification a plus.)
- Ability to travel to and access multiple locations throughout the metropolitan area and work flexible hours and/or days, including possible overnight and weekend hours on rare occasions.
- Providing on-call behavioral service coverage via cell phone. Weekend/holiday coverage rotates throughout the behavioral service department.

CP Unlimited is seeking a Behavioral Intervention Specialist to ensure that the mental health and behavioral needs of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities who are attending our program are met.
Key responsibilities of this full-time position include:
- Developing functional behavioral assessments and support plans using baseline data and ongoing proactive and reactive data
- Providing individual and group counseling
- Presenting psychotropic medications and restrictive behavior support plans to the Human Rights Committee
- Training multi-level staff in the implementation and monitoring of behavior support plans
- Providing referrals for psychiatric care, psychological evaluations and counseling services
- Acting as a liaison for mental health services/behavioral problems between and among IDT members, clinics, psychiatrists, hospitals day programs, families, and concerned others
- Participating in meetings related to ISP, Day Programs, Departmental, Psychotropic Medication Regimen Review, Supervision and Special Team meetings
- Maintaining current certification and becoming a certified trainer in SCIP or PROMOTE
