The National Safety Council – Nebraska Chapter (NSCN) is seeking an organized, creative, and energetic Marketing & Events Coordinator to join our team.
This dynamic position combines event management with creative marketing to support Nebraska's leading safety organization. You'll play a key role in planning and executing some of Nebraska's premier safety events—including the Nebraska Safety Conference & Expo, the Celebration of Safety Awards Luncheon, educational seminars, member meetings, and other special events—while also developing marketing campaigns, digital communications, promotional materials, and content that advances our mission.

For more than 100 years, the National Safety Council – Nebraska Chapter has been Nebraska's trusted leader in safety education and advocacy. Each year, we serve thousands of individuals and hundreds of employers through workplace safety training, driver education, conferences, and community safety programs.
As our Marketing & Events Coordinator, you'll help create the experiences that bring Nebraska's safety community together while promoting programs and services that help reduce injuries and save lives across our state.
What You'll DoMarketing & Communications
- Develop marketing campaigns promoting training programs, membership, conferences, and community initiatives.
- Design brochures, flyers, programs, signage, digital graphics, presentations, and other promotional materials.
- Manage website updates, email marketing campaigns, and social media content.
- Maintain consistent branding across all marketing and event communications.
- Capture photography and content that showcases the impact of NSCN programs and events.
Event Planning & Management
- Coordinate conferences, meetings, recognition programs, educational seminars, and special events from planning through execution.
- Manage event logistics, registration, venues, vendors, exhibitors, sponsors, speakers, volunteers, and attendee communications.
- Develop event schedules, signage, printed materials, floor plans, and event resources.
- Coordinate on-site event operations and post-event evaluations.
- Help create exceptional experiences for attendees, sponsors, exhibitors, and partners.
Team Collaboration
- Partner with the Marketing Manager on organization-wide marketing initiatives.
- Support promotional efforts for training programs, fundraising activities, membership, and community outreach.
- Coordinate multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
- Collaborate with staff, volunteers, vendors, sponsors, and community partners.
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Event Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- One or more years of experience in marketing, communications, event planning, or a related role.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- Adobe Creative Suite (especially InDesign)
- Eventleaf or other event management software
- Email marketing platforms
- Website content management systems
- Social media management tools
- Microsoft Office
- Experience working with nonprofit organizations, associations, or conference planning

Pay: $55,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
