We are currently seeking full or part-time Hardware Sales Associates for our North Canton store. We are a family-owned True Value hardware store. You will greet customers and direct them to the products they need, while emphasizing exceptional customer service. You will assist customers in all areas of the store, including the plumbing, electrical, and hardware departments. You will seek to understand the customer's project, and recommend products to meet their needs. You may also be responsible for using the the point-of-sale system and will perform other duties, such as stocking, product assembly, loading customers’ vehicles, and service-related functions such as mixing paint, making keys, and cutting glass.
Job Requirements:
- Friendly, outgoing, attentive to detail, and a customer service focus.
- Experience with basic home maintenance and repair is essential.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Flexible hour and availability requirements, including some evenings & weekends.
- Regular standing and walking required. Items sold vary in size and customer assistance requirements may lead to varying degrees of lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, etc.
Pay rate based on skills and experience.
