Position Summary:
The position involves the evaluation, troubleshooting, configuration, and testing of electronic equipment. Must have trouble shooting repair capabilities, ability to work board assemblies and units to set configurations to customer specification. Able to test, rebuild, repair, adjust and modify electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies with high level skills and productivity. PC and server use skills a must for review of build and test instructions.
Responsibilities:
· Test, repair, and modify electronic and electro-mechanical component parts in a timely and cost-efficient manner per provided instructions and standard procedures.
· Follow detailed procedures and instructions, able to modify, repair and / or test electronic or electro-mechanical assemblies using simple sketches, schematics, or diagrams.
· Maintains current knowledge to utilize repair equipment such as oscilloscopes, meters, test fixtures and other devices in electronic repair.
· Observes all ESD protection procedures.
· Keeps a neat and orderly work area (5S)
· Performs other related duties as required.
Requirements:
· High School diploma required.
· An Electronic Tech School certificate a plus.
· On-the-job experience, training, or equivalent education in a similar position acceptable.
· Typically, the candidate should be a graduate of an electronics technical school and have the ability to follow detailed procedures and instructions, read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams, and use various tools and electronic testing equipment.
· Possess the ability to work in a production environment where quality and productivity metrics are measured and expected to be met.
