40 hours per week. Hours are flexible, the clinic is open Monday-Friday 7am-6:30pm and Friday 7am-1pm

The Physical Therapist will be responsible for providing patient care including assessing, interpreting, planning and implementing physical therapy treatments in the outpatient physical therapy setting.
Responsibilities
- Assesses patient condition, establishes goals, treatments and care plan in conjunction with patient/family/physician
- Ensures that appropriate treatment is performed in interdisciplinary fashion, consulting with physicians and other departments about impact of PT factors on patient health status
- Documents findings, treatments and other patient information in medical record
- Complies with appropriate clinic policies related to infection control, safety, regulations
- Educates patient/family on appropriate care and use of various therapies/exercises
- Serves as information/education resource for patients, families, staff
- Provide physical therapy services, maintaining appropriate protocols
- Produce timely and accurate records/reports, including completion of all required clinical documentation consistent with professional standards and company policy
- Utilize support staff effectively and efficiently maintaining availability on schedule for new patient evaluations and patients requiring more extensive therapy
- Delegate responsibility and tasks to support staff accordingly
- Prepare and contribute to monthly staff meetings: discussing problems, offering suggestions/solutions, and providing strategies for improvements
- Supervise and evaluate physical therapy students during clinical affiliations under the guidelines established by SOS and the participating college, university, or other educational institution
- Attend required meetings and in-services and cover outside events/programs as needed
- Assist and instruct in-services as required
- Maintain a clean and presentable clinic
- Other responsibilities as needed
Skills & Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in outpatient orthopedic setting preferred however, new graduates are encouraged to apply!
- Current unrestricted New York State Physical Therapy license;
- Current CPR certification
- Experience with a wide range of patient age groups and diagnoses;
