A growing recycling company in El Paso, TX is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Invoice/Scale Clerk to join our team immediately. This role is essential to maintaining daily operations, ensuring accurate documentation, and delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process invoices for outbound shipments (domestic and exports to Mexico)
- Enter load information into customer appointment and delivery portals
- Prepare and maintain organized shipping and receiving records and reports
- Verify outgoing shipments for accuracy, including weights and specifications
- Coordinate customer orders and communication with traffic personnel and plant supervisors
- Weigh incoming and outgoing customer vehicles and provide accurate scale tickets
- Ensure smooth traffic flow across the scale area
- Enter tickets and invoices into the company system with accuracy (dates, times, weights)
- Assist with dispatch coordination to maximize plant efficiency
- Answer incoming calls and provide support to customers and vendors
- Handle cash transactions and maintain daily records
- Perform filing and general administrative duties
- Maintain professional, courteous communication with customers and team members
- Follow all company safety procedures and policies
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and administrative abilities
- Detail-oriented with strong multitasking skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel with strong typing skills
- Ability to prioritize workload and manage time effectively
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible schedule, including availability for weekends
- Comfortable communicating via CB radio and two-way radio
- Knowledge of legal weights and measures (a plus)
- Basic understanding of office procedures and equipment
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability
