Location: Dimondale Adolescent Care Facility, South Bay area
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm + rotating on-call crisis support
Salary: Starting at $70,000 annually (Full-Time, Exempt)

About Us:
Dimondale Adolescent Care Facility provides Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP) services to youth ages 12 to 18. Our mission is to provide trauma-informed, culturally responsive care in a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment.
About the Role:
Dimondale Adolescent Care Facility is seeking a dedicated therapist to join our team in supporting youth with a history of mental illness. You’ll provide therapeutic services, including individual, group, and family therapy to a small, manageable caseload of six adolescents. Your work will directly support our youth in developing the skills and stability needed for long-term well-being and success.
As a therapist, you will also serve as clinical support during crises, coordinate with families, psychiatrists, and outside agencies. This position includes participation in a rotating crisis line schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct intake assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide evidence-based therapy
- Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions
- Deliver crisis intervention and de-escalation using Pro-ACT methods
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of youth to identify their needs and strengths.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams on treatment planning
- Ensure documentation and services meet standards set by DMH, DCFS, CCL, Probation, and CARF
- Meets and maintains relevant state licensing requirements throughout employment, for billable services.
- Participate in weekly supervision, staff meetings, and required training
- Provide clinical input during emergencies and serve as backup to Head of Service when needed
- Assesses and monitors the condition of the resident to evaluate success of treatment and adapts interventions as needed.
- Support youth with community reintegration services
Supervision & Expectations for Associates:
- Associates (ACSW/AMFT) will receive weekly supervision by a licensed LCSW or LMFT, in full compliance with California BBS requirements
- Must maintain active liability insurance throughout their employment
- Must demonstrate strong communication skills, adaptability to client needs, and professional dependability
- Willingness to take initiative and follow through on clinical responsibilities is essential
Qualifications:
- Registered or licensed with the BBS (ACSW, AMFT, APCC, LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC)
- Experience working with adolescents with mental health challenges
- Knowledge of crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, and case management
- Able to meet a productivity standard of 70% billable hours
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Commitment to culturally sensitive and ethical practice
- Must pass DOJ, FBI, and Child Abuse Index background checks
- Current California driver’s license and insurable driving record
- Must be Pro-ACT certified within 30 days of hire (training provided)
