American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at an orthopedic hospital in Fort Wayne, IN, with day shift hours and a 1:5 patient ratio.

Fast-paced Med/Surg Telemetry unit in an orthopedic hospital setting
-
37-bed unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio

Post-surgical patient population managed per surgeon preference, with established order sets and protocols

Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
-
13-week contract

No on-call requirement

No floating required
-
Cerner EMR experience preferred but not required

Active IN RN license or compact RN license currently in hand

Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date)

Minimum 1–2 years of recent Med/Surg or Telemetry RN experience required

No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Valid driver's license required for consideration

Scrub colors: black or royal blue

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted

Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years are not eligible

RTO requests must be less than one week in duration; no blackout dates or required holidays
