Nic's Trattoria is a modern Italian restaurant specializing in wood-fired pizza, handmade pasta, and seasonal Italian cuisine. We are looking for motivated and dependable cooks to join our kitchen team.
We are hiring for cooks with experience or interest in working pizza, pasta, and/or garde manger stations. Whether you're an experienced line cook or someone eager to develop your skills in a professional kitchen, we'd love to meet you.
Compensation
Starting $19.00 – $22.00 per hour
(Based on experience and station proficiency)
Responsibilities
- Prepare and portion ingredients for daily service
- Set up and maintain a clean, organized workstation
- Execute dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards
- Work one or more stations, including:
- Wood-fired pizza
- Pasta
- Garde manger (salads, appetizers, cold preparations)
- Communicate effectively with the chef, expeditor, and fellow cooks during service
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate product needs
- Assist with receiving, stocking, and organizing deliveries
- Clean and break down stations at the end of service
Qualifications
- Previous kitchen experience preferred
- Experience with pizza, pasta, or garde manger stations is a plus
- Culinary education is welcomed but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- Desire to learn, grow, and contribute to a positive kitchen culture
