Detailed Description:
- Performs and completes all essential functions required of Level 2 Electronic Technicians.
- Demonstrates knowledge of all related tools and software.
- Uses engine and transmission diagnostic software effectively.
- Performs instrumentation preventive maintenance (PM) and emergency repairs as needed.
- Repairs, troubleshoots, and maintains 12V and 24V DC systems.
- Identifies, builds, and repairs various cable types.
- Troubleshoots, replaces, and calibrates sensors.
- Understands specific hydraulic and pneumatic components and systems, including troubleshooting and replacement.
- Reads and interprets hydraulic, pneumatic, and control system schematics.
- Troubleshoots control system issues and replaces components.
- Assists with troubleshooting and repair of engine and transmission electronics.
- Reads and interprets engine and transmission schematics.
- Tunes and edits control software settings and assists with system upgrades.
- Troubleshoots complex network and equipment issues.
- Coaches and mentors' others on cable repair and building.
Job Requirements:
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to read, write, and speak English to follow and issue verbal and written instructions.
- Proficiency in simple mathematical calculations.
- Vast knowledge of sensors used in oilfield electronics.
- Completion of FOCUS training upon hire.
- Meets Competency Task List requirements and completes Equipment Maintenance Task List.
- Adheres to company policies and work requirements.
- Maintains eligibility to drive company vehicles.
- Performs work independently and assists other employees as directed.
- Participates in all company-provided training.
Language Comprehension:
Must understand and speak English at a level sufficient to issue, receive, and respond to both safety and operations-related directions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED. Associate’s Degree or applicable experience preferred.
- Experience: 3-4 years.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred.
