Country Casual Teak, a premium teak outdoor furniture retailer, is seeking a dependable Transportation Assistant to support our delivery and warehouse operations. This role involves assisting with deliveries, driving company vehicles, assembling furniture on-site, and interacting with customers in a professional manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the Transportation Supervisor to assist with local deliveries and on-site assembly of furniture
- Drive company vehicles (26 ft. box truck, 14 ft. box truck, and pickup truck)
- Provide friendly, professional, and respectful service during customer interactions
- Answer basic customer questions about product use and care
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
- Transport inventory between warehouse and off-site storage locations
- Perform various warehouse tasks: pulling and packing orders, labeling, weighing, and palletizing shipments, assisting with furniture assembly and preparation and inventory counts
- Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of company vehicles
- Support general warehouse operations as needed
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Experience driving trucks required
- Strong communication skills; ability to interact professionally with customers
- Reliable, team-oriented, and detail-focused
- Comfortable working in a customer-facing role
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs frequently
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive movements throughout the day
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment and varying temperatures
