Assistant Coach & Media Coordinator
Job Summary
The Assistant Coach & Media Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Head Coach in the development of U16 and U17 players (subject to change) while managing the club's digital presence across multiple social media platforms. This dual-role position combines on-field coaching, player development, game-day support, and administrative responsibilities with content creation, social media management, and marketing initiatives that promote the Touch Kings Football Club brand. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, communication, organizational, and creative skills while serving as a positive role model for players and representing the club with professionalism.
Key ResponsibilitiesCoaching & Player Development
- Assist the Head Coach in planning and conducting training sessions.
- Attend and actively participate in all assigned practices, games, tournaments, and club events.
- Provide technical and tactical instruction that aligns with the club's coaching curriculum.
- Support individual player development through evaluation and constructive feedback.
- Monitor player attendance, discipline, sportsmanship, and overall progress.
- Assist with player evaluations during tryouts and provide roster recommendations.
- Document player assessments using PlayMetrics or other club management systems.
Game Day Operations
- Arrive early to assist with team setup, equipment, and player check-in.
- Lead or assist with team warm-ups.
- Support tactical adjustments, substitutions, and player management during matches.
- Assist with post-game evaluations and player feedback.
- Help maintain a safe, organized, and positive game-day environment.
Media & Marketing
- Manage and maintain the club's Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok accounts.
- Create engaging photo, video, and graphic content showcasing teams, players, coaches, and club events.
- Produce short-form videos, including Instagram Reels and TikTok content.
- Schedule and publish approved social media content.
- Promote club programs, camps, clinics, tryouts, tournaments, and registration campaigns.
- Maintain consistent club branding across all digital platforms.
- Organize and archive digital media assets.
- Support community engagement and increase the club's online presence.
Communication & Administration
- Maintain professional communication with players, parents, coaches, and club leadership.
- Respond to emails, phone calls, and messages within 48 hours whenever possible.
- Attend required staff meetings and coaching meetings.
- Report player injuries, incidents, or concerns promptly.
- Maintain confidentiality of player, family, and club information.
- Follow all club, league, MSYSA, and USYS policies and procedures.
Professional Standards

- Protect player privacy and comply with club media policies.
- Represent Touch Kings Football Club positively in all public interactions and on social media.
QualificationsRequired
- Previous coaching experience in youth soccer.
- Strong understanding of player development and modern coaching methods.
- Knowledge of the Laws of the Game and youth soccer best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Experience managing Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
- Experience creating engaging photo and video content.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, tournaments, and club events.
- Ability to work collaboratively with coaching staff and club leadership.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Reliable transportation to training sessions, games, and club events.
Preferred
- US Soccer Grassroots Coaching License or higher.
- Experience using PlayMetrics or similar sports management software.
- Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar content creation software.
- Photography and videography experience.
- Knowledge of youth sports marketing and social media analytics.
- CPR/First Aid certification (preferred).

Pay: $1,500.00 - $1,900.00 per month
