Overview
We are seeking a full-time Aviation Painter to join our team. We provide on-the-job training, and no prior experience is required; however, a background in painting or a related field is a plus. PAY WILL BE BASED ON EXPERIENCE. We offer a great opportunity to learn specialized skills and build a career in the aerospace industry.
We currently have multiple shift options available, including:
- 1st Shift: Monday–Thursday, 10-hour shifts
- 2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 10-hour shifts
- Weekend Shift: Friday–Sunday, 12-hour shifts
As an Aviation Painter, you will be responsible for applying coatings using spray-paint application to aluminum aircraft parts, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet industry standards. Candidates must pass a company-paid drug screening and respirator physical. This position requires standing, bending, lifting, and pushing, and applicants must be able to lift more than 20 lbs. This role requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Duties
- Prepare and inspect aviation components for painting, ensuring surfaces are clean and properly primed.
- Utilize industrial painting techniques to apply coatings accurately and efficiently.
- Adhere to safety standards and quality control procedures throughout the painting process.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Qualifications.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools (including airless sprayers).
- Familiarity with surface preparation techniques such as sanding.
- Familiarity with various painting techniques and materials is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as schematics.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing for long periods and lifting materials as needed.
