Bella Canggio Modern Peruvian Restaurant in Centerbrook is looking for an enthusiastic Server, where your passion for hospitality and exceptional customer service will shine! Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with the kitchen and bar staff
- Serve food, beverages, cocktails, and spirits efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling, credit card processing, and upselling to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Assist with food preparation tasks when necessary, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods
- Use openTable or similar reservation systems to manage guest seating efficiently and minimize wait times
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, 5 years experience required
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus
- Demonstrated ability in beverage service, cocktail mixing, wine knowledge, spirits experience, and drink presentation
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and guest relations focus
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while processing sales efficiently
- Basic math skills for bill calculations and inventory management
- Culinary experience or kitchen familiarity is advantageous but not required
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
