Our bar is located within a restaurant that boasts great food and a comfortable atmosphere, in a building first constructed in 1890 and classically restored.
Job Summary
We are looking for a professional, high-energy bartender with excellent communication skills to serve classic cocktails and exciting new beverages to our guests. You'll greet customers, learn their preferences, answer questions, recommend drink and food menu items, and prepare and serve both beverages and food.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve beverages, including classic cocktails and creative new drinks
- Greet guests, learn their preferences, and recommend drink and food menu items
- Upsell menu items and provide attentive, high-quality hospitality
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar
- Follow all TABC regulations and responsible alcohol service practices
- Demonstrate solid knowledge of wine and spirits
- Operate Toast POS accurately and efficiently
- Assist in serving guests in the dining room as needed
- Handle required cleaning and closing duties
Qualifications
- Previous bartending experience preferred
- Current TABC and Food Handlers certifications required
- Working knowledge of wine, spirits, and cocktail preparation
- Comfortable using Toast POS
- No DUI/DWI within the past two years
- Neat, professional appearance and an engaging, friendly personality
- Dependable, efficient, observant, and a strong multitasker
- Current resume; references from previous employers a plus
