In this energetic role, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of pizza styles and toppings, ensuring each dish meets our standards for taste, presentation, and food safety. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas, including dough preparation, topping assembly, and baking to perfection.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and slicing tools safely and efficiently.
- Follow recipes precisely to ensure consistency in flavor and presentation across all menu items.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by adhering to food safety procedures and sanitizing protocols.
- Assist with food preparation tasks including chopping, portioning, braising, poaching, grilling, and food handling to support high-volume production.
- Support menu planning by suggesting new pizza varieties or toppings based on customer preferences and seasonal ingredients.
- Ensure all food production aligns with dietary guidelines and dietary department requirements for special diets or allergies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation within a restaurant or food industry setting, preferably with fine dining or high-volume kitchens.
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques such as braising, poaching, grilling, and meal preparation.
- Knowledge of food safety management practices including sanitizing procedures and proper food handling.
- Experience operating kitchen equipment safely in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to follow recipes accurately while maintaining high standards of quality and consistency.
- Previous dietary aide experience or catering experience is a plus but not required.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on maintaining a clean, organized workspace aligned with food safety standards.
