Qualifications
- Valid CDL A license with clean driving record; experience operating tractor-trailers is preferred.
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, especially with refrigerated trailers or tanker trucks.
- Knowledge of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and hazardous materials regulations.
- Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently; experience with manual handling is a plus.
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time traffic updates.
- Experience in freight handling including load & unload procedures for various cargo types such as dangerous goods or freight requiring special handling.
- Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling procedures for efficient delivery operations.
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety; previous delivery driver experience is highly valued.
- Ability to manage over-the-road (OTR) driving routes independently while maintaining compliance with all safety standards.
