We are seeking several skilled Industrial Coating Applicator (Bridge Painter Journeyperson) to join our team for out-of-town construction projects. These include Blasters, Painters, Riggers, ARS operators, QC's and more. This role involves applying protective coatings and paints to bridge structures and other large industrial surfaces, ensuring durability and safety. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial painting, construction painting, and fabrication, with a strong focus on precision and safety standards. This position offers an opportunity to work on challenging projects in a dynamic environment, utilizing advanced tools and techniques to deliver high-quality results. Experience and References are required. We are a Union Company, IUPAT affiliation required
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply coatings using airless paint spraying, brushes, rollers, or other hand tools according to project specifications.
- Operate and maintain equipment such as cranes, forklifts, and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Handle materials with care, including loading, unloading, and transporting supplies using crane or forklift as needed.
- Perform fabrication tasks related to coating applications or structural modifications.
- Conduct inspections of coated surfaces using precision measuring instruments to ensure uniform coverage and quality standards.
- Follow safety protocols rigorously, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to OSHA regulations.
- Collaborate with team members on complex projects requiring mechanical knowledge, auto body repair skills, or welding expertise.
- Assist in the setup and teardown of work zones on construction sites or bridges.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed and materials used throughout each project phase.
Experience
- Proven experience in industrial painting mandatory
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, airless paint sprayers, welding equipment, and fabrication machinery preffered
- Experience operating cranes, forklifts, or other heavy machinery is preferred.
Pay: $24.00 - $46.00 per hour
