American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry float pool position in Tucson, AZ, requiring Cerner experience and an AZ RN license for night shift work across multiple facilities.

Float pool position requiring willingness to float between multiple facilities in the Tucson area

Med/Surg and Med/Surg/Telemetry unit setting within a hospital environment
-
Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week

6 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule

Patient ratio of 6:1

EMR: Cerner experience required
-
13-week contract
-
Active AZ RN license or compact license with AZ as primary state required

Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the assignment start)

Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg or Telemetry RN experience required

Cerner EMR experience required

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
-
No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
-
Responsible for shift accountability and delivering patient care using the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies

Demonstrates critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in care planning and safe patient delivery
-
Delegates patient care priorities based on staff education and experience, and provides direction and supervision to assigned personnel
-
Any scrub color is acceptable

RTO requests must be less than one week in duration

Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position

First-time travelers may be considered per the facility's standard experience requirements
