THIS IS A PART TIME / AS NEEDED JOB.
We are seeking a skilled Control Panel Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, and troubleshooting control panels used in various manufacturing applications. You will work closely with engineers and other technicians to ensure that all panels meet the required specifications and quality standards. This position requires a strong understanding of electrical systems and the ability to work with various tools and technologies.
Duties
- Assemble control panels according to schematics and engineering specifications
- Test and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLC) to ensure functionality
- Adhere to UL standards for quality assurance in assembly processes
- Cut holes, cutouts and cable pass throughs
- Use wire labeling software
- Conduct electrical wiring for various components within the control panels
- Collaborate with team members to improve manufacturing processes and efficiency
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols
Skills
- Proficient in reading electrical schematics
- Strong knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLC) and their applications
- Solid understanding of electrical wiring, schematics, and assembly processes
- Mechanical knowledge to assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues
- Competent in using hand tools, power tools, calipers, and ohmmeters for precise measurements
- Previous experience in manufacturing environments is highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to learn PLC, HMI and Robotic programming
