Patient Experience Coordinator, Physiologic General
Dentistry
Downtown Dental Nashville. Full-time, in-office. Nashville, TN. $25 to $30 an hour plus
bonus.
You’re the person other offices lean on. When a nervous patient calls, they hang up calmer
than they picked up, and when the schedule needs a steady hand, it’s yours. You’re good at
this, and you’ve started to want more than a place to be good in. You want a team that’s as
invested as you are, and room to keep growing.
That’s the seat.
Who we are, and what happens here
We’re Downtown Dental Nashville, a physiologic practice, which means we treat the whole
connected person and not one tooth at a time. Most patients come to us worn down, after a
string of providers told them everything looked fine while they still felt wrong. Migraines
three times a week. A jaw that locked one morning and never fully let go. Twenty years of
being handed a Band-Aid for a problem no one would name.
We’re the place that finally connects the dots and treats the root cause, and people get
their lives back. One patient drove hours to us after being told her only option was jaw
surgery, finished treatment without it, and still drives in for her cleanings. Another walked in
planning her life around her pain and walked out getting it back. That’s the work, and it
starts at the front, with the first phone call, the first walk-in, the goodbye at the door. You’re
the first proof this place is different, before the doctor ever says a word.
The team you’d join
You’d run the front of our general side, one doctor, two restorative chairs, two hygienists,
and you’d do it alongside people who care about the work as much as you do. Your closest
partner is our TMD Care Coordinator, who runs the front of the other half of the practice,
and the two of you hold the whole patient experience between you. This is a team of high
performers who like each other and take real pride in a practice that runs well. You’d have
full ownership of your lane and a room full of people who’ve got your back in it.
What you’ll own
You keep the restorative and hygiene schedules full and productive, you run new patient
flow on the general side, and you sit with patients to walk them through their treatment and
what it means for them. You handle the front-end of benefit verification and you’re the
person patients talk to about their accounts. You also oversee the claims and AR process,
you make sure it runs, and you don’t file it yourself, because that’s carried by another seat
and an outside billing partner.
You’ll know if you’re winning by three numbers: open hours on the restorative schedule,
open hours on hygiene, and open new patient hours. The job is to drive all three toward
zero. A full, productive schedule is the scoreboard, and it’s a clean one.
We use our own systems and technology to carry the routine and repetitive work, so the
people stay the center and the face of every patient interaction. The rote gets handled. The
human part, reading the room and solving the problem in front of you, stays yours.
This isn’t for you if
You’re looking for a quiet desk job where you process tasks and clock out. You’d rather not
be the one patients remember. You see new technology as a threat instead of a tool that
hands you your day back.
This is for you if
You light up around people and you’re the one who steadies a room without trying. You’ve
owned the full front of a small or single-doctor practice, scheduling, treatment coordination,
benefit verification, account conversations, the daily flow, and you liked carrying it. You’re
organized and thorough and warm, you stay hopeful and clear-eyed when a day gets hard,
and you tell the truth even when it’s uncomfortable. You want to keep growing, and you want
it to mean something. Helping someone who’d given up on feeling well get their life back is
the kind of win that makes a Tuesday worth it for you.
Real dental experience is the floor here, not a bonus. Treatment coordinating, scheduling,
and benefit verification, we need those already in your hands. Eaglesoft or whatever
software you’ve used, and our own systems, we’ll teach. Software is trainable. The way you
make people feel is not, and that’s what we’re hiring for.
The range is $25 to $30 an hour plus bonus. For someone who’s run this whole job before
and can step in and add to the practice fast, we go to the top of it.
