Responsibilities
- Operate laundry machines such as industrial washers and dryers to process linens, towels, and guest garments efficiently and safely.
- Handle materials with care, ensuring proper sorting, folding, and storage of cleaned items according to hotel standards.
- Use push carts and other equipment to transport laundry loads safely throughout the facility while adhering to manual handling safety protocols.
- Maintain sanitation standards by cleaning work areas regularly and using appropriate laundry detergents and cleaning agents.
- Follow safety standards in production environments, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety protocols during heavy lifting and machinery operation.
- Assist with garment care services such as dry cleaning or special textile cleaning requests when needed.
- Support customer service efforts by responding promptly to laundry requests from staff or management, ensuring timely delivery of clean linens.
Experience
- Previous experience in laundry services or textile cleaning is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Familiarity with hotel operations or hospitality industry standards is a plus.
- Ability to operate laundry machinery including garment care machines and industrial dryers with attention to detail and safety.
- Basic math skills for measuring detergents, sorting items, and managing laundry loads accurately.
- Knowledge of sanitation practices and safety standards in production environments is highly desirable.
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling tasks, and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude towards teamwork and guest satisfaction.
